In-Home Care & Support at Home

Are there exit fees if I move to a different home care provider?

Under Support at Home, providers cannot charge the old Home Care Package exit fee. However, you should still check your service agreement for notice requirements and any legitimate outstanding charges for services already delivered.

  • A separate exit fee should not be charged.
  • Notice requirements may still apply.
  • Request a final statement and coordinated transfer.

Home Care Package exit fees were abolished before the move to Support at Home and are not part of the current program.

A provider may still require reasonable notice under your service agreement and can recover valid amounts already owed, but it should not impose a penalty simply because you choose another provider.
